We are currently recruiting a Programme Director to lead our ClimateWise platform - a growing global network of leading insurance organisations working to lead their industry as it responds to the risks and opportunities of climate change and increasingly wider sustainability issues. This role is within our Centre for Sustainable Finance which brings together over 50 financial institutions across five continents to drive change in the finance system and advance the transition to a more sustainable economy and society. We are looking for a highly motivated senior leader with a good understanding of and experience in sustainable finance and knowledge of the insurance sector for this role. Key responsibilities include: Providing strategic leadership for the group, working with members to provide strategic direction, ambition and alignment Working with members and academic partners to co-create thought-leading content that unlocks and mainstreams sustainable practice, overseeing and commissioning new research and analysis Ensuring the group delivers value to its members, CISL and society in accordance with the business plan and budget, including business development and fundraising Collaboration across CISL, its network, the wider University, as well as member firms and selected external parties to amplify the work of the platform and drive impact Lead and build a team delivering platform content and managing member relations You will contribute to the development of CISL's reputation as a global pioneer in transdisciplinary research on sustainability, drawing on the breadth of Cambridge through partnerships - and in some cases co-location with aligned departments, research groups and colleges.
