An exciting opportunity has come up in our acute stroke unit and across our acute medical wards to work with the Dietetic and Speech and Language Therapy teams in supporting with nutrition, swallowing and communication for our patients. The successful candidate will also carry out general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the team. You will be an integral member of the team and will be well supported to grow and develop within the role.

To work closely with the Dietetic and Speech Therapy teams, supporting patients who may have complex communication, swallowing, nutritional, physical and psychological/cognitive needs. You will work within a friendly multidisciplinary team, supporting the team in implementing and monitoring individualised plans. You will be supporting the SLT team in providing rehabilitation care plans for acquired communication disorders. You will also help with the set up and feeding of patients during the Speech Therapy led video fluoroscopy clinic. Within the Dietetic team, you will also help to maintain and order nutritional products used across the acute wards and provide some administrative support for the team.
