Would you like your work to be rewarding, fulfilling & something that makes a big positive difference to someone's life? Helping me maintain my independence & supporting me with tasks as required to achieve this; All within a dynamic, varied & encouraging environment/lifestyle?
I’m a very independent and social individual however I have CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome)/ME, FND (functional neurological disorder) & other conditions that mean I require support to maintain a balance, my energy levels & recharge my batteries also.
My hobbies & interests vary depending on energy levels, pain, time of year, company etc. I love looking after animals. I have found enjoyment from being in the garden/gardening, outdoors & around nature. I dabble in Herbology, Homeopathy & Psychology. I enjoy TV series, playing some computer games, board games, home cooking & baking (would love to do more of this) & I like to listen to audiobooks. I do like doing arty things however I haven't had the chance to try much out yet. I am no Leonardo da Vinci but I'd be keen to try, as I enjoy creating. I am Registered Blind so some hobbies (as well as life in general) can have interesting challenges & need to be subtly adapted &/or I will need support to do these.
It is vital the chosen candidate(s) are understanding as my health is quite complex & can fluctuate. An attitude of supportive enabling empowerment would be best suited within this role.
I currently have guinea pigs & I'm hoping to adopt/rescue/foster/look after more/other animals. I also hope to get a service dog in the future. The right candidate(s) must be comfortable with animals & accept that a proportion of activities they may be supporting me with may involve &/or revolve around animals.

2. Laundry / domestic
3. Meal preparation (healthy eating)
4. Support with accessing the community/appointments/shopping. I’m currently using a wheelchair when accessing the community

Please note the level of support required fluctuates, depending on my health/pain level that day.
Qualities in a candidate
1. Warm and friendly
2. Able to use own initiative
3. Encouraging to remain independent (within the confines of my conditions)
