JOB TITLE: Management Accountant
SHIFTS: Monday - Friday 39 hours (Flexible Hours Available)
SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
BASE: Hybrid, Birmingham
GBA Global Solutions provides 24/7/365 UK national and global coverage from two main control centres and two hubs, focused on domestic and European aerospace & airside logistics services (branded as ‘GBA Skyway’), and global forwarding.
GBA Global Solutions is part of the GBA Logistics group, which has been delivering logistics solutions since 1987 and is a leading family-owned logistics company, operating in the top 50 Logistics Companies in the UK with an annual turnover in excess of £100m.
Key Responsibilities
* Month-end accounting & reporting
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
* Budgeting & forecasting
* Cash management
* Preparation of the year-end accounts
* Supporting the annual audit process
About You
* Ideally, we would like you to be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA etc.), or Part-Qualified and working towards qualification
* Preparing and posting month-end journals independently
* Ledger/control account, and bank reconciliations
* Communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Use of various accounting & reporting software systems
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
