Job Title: Registered Children’s Home Manager Salary: £45,000 (DOE) Location: Derby Hours: Full-Time Role Purpose: As the Registered Manager of a Children’s Home, you will lead and inspire a team to provide exceptional care to young residents. Your goal will be to ensure the children experience a sense of belonging, while driving high standards and striving for ‘outstanding’ service. You will be responsible for managing the home’s operations, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and working closely with young people, families, and external agencies to meet the needs of the children. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Lead the team to deliver high-quality care, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards. Quality Assurance: Aim for ‘outstanding’ service provision at all times and evaluate the effectiveness of services. Team Development: Promote team working, motivation, and staff development through supervision and training. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and the team is equipped to deliver care. Collaboration: Work in partnership with young people, their families, and external agencies to meet their needs. Staff & Resource Management: Participate in recruitment, manage staffing, and ensure that training needs are met to uphold high care standards. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain the property to a high standard. Finance & Administration: Ensure financial records are managed effectively in line with policies and procedures. Requirements: Proven experience in managing a children’s home and registered with Ofsted. Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience in developing and maintaining care plans for children and young people. Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.
