Hybrid – Covering Southern Contracts (Midlands, London, and Gloucester areas) We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our growing team at Churchill Environmental Services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in water hygiene and water treatment planned preventative maintenance (PPM), who can demonstrate a successful history of identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and leading winning bids. You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to the continued success and growth of our organisation across the London, Midlands, and South East regions. As Business Development Manager, you’ll: Identify bid and tender opportunities to develop a substantial sales pipeline of approximately £2 million per year. Build and maintain strong business relationships through a consultative sales approach, aiming to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets. Represent Churchill Environmental Services at client meetings and through broader sales and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with our group bid team to produce high-quality tender submissions. Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation to pitching, negotiating, closing, and handover to operations. Maintain a strong focus on detail, ensuring all opportunities are explored and maximised. As Business Development Manager, you’ll have: At least five years' experience in water hygiene and legionella control sales, including providing technical guidance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards. Proven success in bid writing and securing contracts within both public and commercial sectors. Experience in both new business development and account management, with a sound understanding of the sales process. A full, clean UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel within the specified region. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with CRM tools or field service management systems is desirable.
