Your Teaching Ltd are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive special needs school. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children with a range of learning difficulties and special educational needs, helping to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment that allows every child to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons for children with a variety of special educational needs (SEN), ensuring a personalised and differentiated approach. Support students in developing key academic, social, and life skills, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs. Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), teaching assistants, and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic achievement. Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to parents and carers, and contributing to reviews and meetings. Foster an understanding of SEN within the classroom, encouraging peers to be inclusive and supportive of one another. Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a high standard of professional practice at all times. Key Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly within a primary school setting. Strong understanding of the different types of SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching. Ability to differentiate learning and adapt to a wide range of abilities and needs. Knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
