Job Responsibilities
provide comprehensive financial controllership, reporting and partnering with Account Director/Operations Lead to meet all finance deliverables for the Account in country. Finance deliverables covers both Internal (CBRE) and External (Client) deliverables in relation to the BP Retail contract. This role entails supporting management, including the Regional Operations Managers. This is a client facing role with focus on client account budget management. The role is also expected to support procurement activities including engaging with subcontractors to ensure value for money/savings for the contract.
Primary responsibilities of Senior Finance Analyst are:
· Delivery of Financial reporting and Month-end Close activities.
· Client (country) Finance Interface in meetings.
· Producing various internal reports (Monthly business packs, etc)
· Responsibility for the integrity of client financial reporting (Checks on Accuracy of Budget Management - Adaptive/vantage reports).
· Annual budget & Monthly rolling forecasts responsibility.
· Client Accounting and administrative supports. Providing guidance to contract supports.
· Provide insights to influence and impact performance in order to achieve targets.
· Revenue recognition accurate calculations of accrued and deferred revenue:
§ Calculation and monthly billing for services
§ KPI fees and accruals calculations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Delivery of Month End Close within deadlines. Ensuring accuracy of monthly results within the context of the commercial model and financial reporting standards. Analysis of revenues and costs vs budgets/forecasts.
Prepare Annual budget & Monthly rolling forecasts in accordance with deadlines and their veracity in order to facilitate operational decision-making.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports in accordance with the financial results for CBRE GWS and customers in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contracts (i.e. various Internal financial reports and Contract review packs).
Client Specific reporting Tasks - Prepare accurate monthly client reports in line with client budget service lines. (i.e. labour allocations by trade, accurate costs allocations by trade, Budget management spends tracking & reporting, etc).
Manage AR (debt) in relation to all BP account activities.
Attend and actively participate in finance and operational meetings as required.
Prepare monthly status reports/costs tracking covering operational activities and related costs; spend vs. budget, service levels as assurance for financial budget management KPI pre-requisite. Checking'; the quality of operational teams' reports and reconciliations to meet our internal audit and client reporting commitments and company expectations.
Continually control & maintain accounting & financial reporting systems/structures for the account to ensure the integrity of its financial data (i.e. myfinance and any other finance system are kept updated and not project codes created where required for proper costs allocation).
Assist the Country Finance division in external audits by providing responses and evidence on audit queries relating to the BP Retail financial transactions.
Balance Sheet Ownership, Control, Governance, Integrity and Assurance (Reconciliations completed in line with deadlines and reporting Risks & Opportunities as required during meetings).
Working Capital Management (AR/UBR/Costs Accruals, etc)
Qualifications needed:
Completed business studies with a focus on finance & accounting or comparable commercial training (Qualified or Part-Qualified).
Professional experience in operational controlling/finance
Knowledge of PeopleSoft is desirable but not essential
Sound knowledge of common MS Office programs (particularly MsExcel) as well as a high affinity for IT
Service industry experience with expertise in facility management, or technical services (Operating & Maintenance)
