Position: Quality Control Operator
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Working Hours: Rotating shifts
* Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
* Week 2: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Hourly Rate: £11.95 per hour, increasing to £26,500 per annum
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate
Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Quality Control Operator to join the team at our Wincanton facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance through sampling, auditing, and process control. You will also play a key role in identifying and addressing any non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect micro samples, including products, air plates, swabs, and water.
* Book and send micro and chemical samples, ensuring accurate tracking.
* Update micro schedules and maintain records.
* Complete line specifications using various IT systems.
* Conduct routine audits of process control paperwork and on-line product assessments to ensure compliance.
* Assist with investigating customer complaints and provide feedback.
* Conduct taste panels and application testing for product quality.
* Perform internal audits and traceability checks.
* File process control paperwork and assist with the completion of Quality Assurance System (QAS) documents for new products.
* Report any non-conformances to management and assist in implementing preventative and corrective actions.
* Perform other duties as required by the technical department.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
