In your role as Head of Service at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: Kindness. It carries across every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As Head of Service, your responsibilities will include helping to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You will assist in preparing cakes for the morning tea trolley and the lunch-time desserts/cakes. Demonstrating the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene is essential. Whether maintaining food supplies, managing fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters on equipment, or cleaning spills, you'll always prioritize resident well-being.
HC-One is looking for someone with kitchen experience who is aware of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, and COSHH regulations. Good record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, you'll be considerate and kind—after all, it's just in your nature.
