An Area Sales Manager is required for a hugely successful CNC Machine Tool Supplier, providing metal cutting solutions to the manufacturing industry.
As the Area Sales Manager, your primary focus is the South Central / South East of the UK, to increase market share in these territories, whilst continuing to develop the reputation and company brand values.
Salary is negotiable but there's a circa range of up to 50K DOE, monthly commission which is uncapped, fully expensed company car and fuel card, credit card for expenses, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, private pension, life assurance, laptop & phone for fully remote WFH.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for:
* Maintaining and increasing business levels of the group's products.
* Reaching the targets and goals set.
* Gathering market and customer information to figure out the customer needs.
* Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations.
* Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers.
* Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base.
* Developing strategies, forecasts and pipelines of business.
* Attending trade fairs, exhibitions and promotional events.
* Collecting customer feedback and market research.
* Project management on large scale orders.
Experience in a technical sales role is essential, with engineering experience and/or sale of capital equipment within the CNC machine tool industry being a significant advantage.
You will need a genuine interest in the manufacturing industry across your territory to understand who your target audience will be. Combining sales and customer service, you will be the ultimate partner for your customers, ensuring that you and the business are in the forefront of their minds.
Flexibility towards frequent travel to the territory you will look after is essential, as well as occasional overseas travel for product training and new product launches.
Being able to communicate at different levels and switching quickly is important in this role, along with excellent verbal and communication skills, good listening skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of self-motivation, ambition, determination, and good self-management are all essential.
