We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Years Educator to join our team of professionals working in nurseries and schools across Eastbourne. As an essential member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young children's early learning and development, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities in the nursery, including play, learning, and meal times. You will assist in planning and delivering activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care is also a key aspect of this role.
You will foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence and independence. Working collaboratively with nursery staff and teachers to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment is also crucial.
As part of your responsibilities, you will assist with the preparation and tidying of the nursery or classroom, ensuring a clean and organized space. Observing and monitoring children's progress, contributing to records and reports as needed, is also an important task.
Effective communication with parents and carers, providing updates on their child's development and well-being, is essential in this role.
Requirements
* Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
* A caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children's development is required.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
* An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is advantageous.
* Relevant childcare qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2 or 3) are beneficial but not essential.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
