The PTS Operations Manager will have direct responsibility for effectively delivering operational staff and resources within a designated geographical area, achieving contractual Key Performance Indicators, and ensuring that the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction is maintained.
The role provides support to the Service Delivery Manager and clerical administration staff within the designated area.
PTS operations Managers have direct line management to both operational and non-operational staff, overseeing mandatory training compliance, staff sickness and wellbeing, annual appraisals, and annual leave
The successful candidate will be required to work on site at Watford PTS Ambulance Station.
To maintain the effective operation of the local PTS contracts within the designated area, providing guidance and direction daily to all staff, including operational and non-operational staff.
Accountable for all day-to-day operational aspects within the geographical area, ensuring efficient and effective use of all resources to maximum potential.
Responsible for monitoring service delivery, and communicating any relevant performance issues to the Service Delivery Manager, initiating remedial action, as required.
Responsible for the delivery of an adequate number of vehicles daily, reporting, logging, and resolving vehicle and equipment faults
Providing and maintaining a minimum of 9 weeks forward planning roster for relief staff, utilisation of bank staff, and the allocation of overtime within budget and in line with Trust policies and procedures
