You will be working on a key, high-profile project, liaising with IT Business partners, 3rd party vendors and end-users to support the implementation across new and existing applications, proactively identifying opportunities to better support business processes and manage regulatory change.
How will I spend my time in this role?
* Analyse and evaluate the software and systems that the business utilises, identifying issues and areas for change and improvement;
* Query writing, perform Testing including system upgrades, support packages, disaster recovery scenarios;
* Update existing APIs and integrations;
* Create technical specifications and test plans;
* Write operational and process flow documentation;
* Consult colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and with a view to writing or modifying current operating practices;
* Define systems requirements for new technology implementations, estimating work packages to stakeholders and deliver on time;
* Product ownership, and product roadmap strategy and delivery;
* Liaising on operational issues with 3rd party vendors, coordination of software releases, configuration changes, patches and bug-fixes, ownership of problems and incidents.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
* Experience in the energy sector, especially in regulatory projects;
* Proven experience in IT Application Management or Development.
