Job Overview:
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for electrical production? We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Production Manager to oversee our clients’ (Marshall Land Systems) Electrical Installation and Test Engineers at their Cambridge facility. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a talented team, manage production processes, and ensure the projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:Provide strong leadership to the Electrical Installation and Test Engineers, ensuring effective coordination of workloads and maintaining quality standards.
Team Management:Supervise Electrical team supervisors, manage performance issues, and offer training and support as needed. Promote a safe working environment and drive on-time delivery to the master plan.
Compliance & Efficiency:Ensure compliance with all departmental policies and procedures. Create a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Resource Management:Align manning levels and skills with production requirements and future capacity needs. Oversee budgeting, CAPEX control, and forecasting.
Bid Support:Assist the MLS bid team with production perspectives to support efficient bid processes.
Performance & Development:Conduct regular performance reviews, recognize high performance, address under-performance, and plan for succession within the team.

Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and 5S techniques.
Competent in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and MRP systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and apply health, safety, and environmental policies.
Education & Experience:
City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent (18th edition)
City & Guilds qualification for BS 7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations.
City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation Inspection & Testing.
IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferable.
Leadership qualification (CMI, LM) is an advantage.
Extensive experience in electrical manufacturing and assembly.
Proven track record in leading diverse teams through strategic change.
Experience in reading engineering drawings and design data is desirable.
Additional Information:
This role requires full-time on-site presence in Cambridge.
Occasional travel may be necessary.
Flexibility may be needed to meet project demands.
