GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As the Ocean Winds UK operational portfolio grows, an opportunity has arisen for an intern to support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Managers and Operational Supervisors in various operational tasks. The role is located in Buckie, at our Moray West O&M base on the Moray Firth coast of Scotland, therefore the candidate must be based within a commutable distance to attend the office on a hybrid-working schedule. The internship will commence in November 2024 and finish on the 17th of June 2025.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Main accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Manage the training requirements for the site-based O&M team, ensuring training plans and logistics are organised and planned for in advance of authorisation expirations.
* Assist in the development of a competency framework for O&M Technicians, Supervisors and Marine Coordinators.
* Facilitate the management of the O&M Risk Registers, tracking, newly identified risks/opportunities, action updates and changes to risk ratings.
* Undertake small projects related to maintaining the Marine Base(s) and Operations Base(s) Facilities & equipment.
* Assist the Maintenance Planner with planning and documentation, reviewing inspection documents and other tasks.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Currently studying for, or recently (no more than 6 months) graduated with an Undergraduate or master’s degree in a Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or another applicable discipline.
KNOWLEDGE
Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is required.

* A self-starter with a proactive approach who is attentive to detail and has good written communication skills
* Ability to communicate and build relationships across all levels of the project team.
