We help our private equity, corporate development, lender, and advisory clients navigate the competitive and opaque world of M&A deal origination to prioritize relationships, streamline internal processes, and improve their firm’s overall performance. Mission The SPS Senior Research Analyst will provide secondary research for Private Equity and M&A deals to further enhance the SPS proprietary database. In addition to conducting research, the Senior Research Analyst will perform quality checks to ensure the highest level of accuracy and precision that our clients have come to expect. The Senior Research Analyst is an integral role at SPS, serving as both a key contributor and a leader within the team. Key Responsibilities & Objectives Conduct research using various sources and methods to gather and maintain data for the firm’s proprietary database of Private Equity and M&A transactions in Europe. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure the highest level of accuracy in data and reports. Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute ideas to enhance the quality and scalability of the database. Mentor and provide guidance to Research Analysts, ensuring they align with the team’s vision and goals. Assist in preparing reports, presentation materials, and other research-driven projects to support client needs. Build a deep understanding of the firm’s solutions, methodologies and the M&A industry, while continuously developing your knowledge and skills. Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and ensure alignment with the company’s strategy. Requirements Professional Qualification : A bachelor’s degree is required. Experience : Previous experience in research, consulting, data analysis or related fields. Strong Communication Skills: You can express ideas clearly, write effectively, and collaborate productively with team members. Organizational Abilities: You have a knack for managing your time, prioritizing tasks and keeping track of details to ensure accuracy and consistency in your work. Adaptability and Coachability : You are eager to learn, open to feedback, and quick to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to our Research Manager based in our New York office, so some flexibility in working hours may be required during the initial onboarding period.
