Where are you working?
This role will be based in Newtownabbey.
Hours of Work & Rate of Pay
Monday- Friday 9am- 3pm and will be £14.53 per hour and £0.56 per mile.
What does the job involve?
The Base Co-Ordinator will work as a member of the Day Services team under the supervision of management to promote the service user’s independence and development.
A typical day will involve some of the following duties:
1. Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate individual packages of day provision and transport within the community.
2. Participate in monitoring and reviewing individual programmes of care.
3. Establish goals on an individual basis to ensure maximum social inclusion.
4. Maintain an updated database of opportunities within the community to include further education, volunteering, supported employment, social enterprise, and leisure.
5. Attend regular reviews of users and provide written reports of assessment.
6. Maintenance of records.
Do you meet the criteria?
1. NVQ/QCF/RVQ level 3 in care or Equivalent level 3 qualification in care plus 2 years paid employment experience with adults with a learning disability.
2. Or NVQ/QCF/RVQ level 2 in care or Equivalent level 2 qualification in care plus 3 years paid employment experience with adults with a learning disability.
3. Registered with NISSC.
4. A full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance.
5. Willingness to do mandatory in-house training.
6. Must complete Enhanced Access NI check yearly.
