Chair of Committee Cambridge Global Health Partnerships (CGHP)
Cambridge Global Health Partnerships (CGHP) works to improve healthcare globally through its unique position at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, a world-leading centre for healthcare, research, and education. Supporting NHS staff, academics, and students in Cambridge and the East of England, CGHP fosters impactful global health initiatives through grants, networking, training, and partnerships with healthcare institutions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
This is an opportunity to join an enthusiastic and passionate team, building partnerships with low and middle-income countries that have a positive impact on health care in the UK and across the world.
As Chair of the CGHP Advisory Committee, you will lead the Committee and advise the Director in implementing the 2020+ Strategy, ensuring growth and sustainability. You will oversee governance, financial health, and risk management, represent CGHP in the global health community, and advocate for funding and partnerships. This role also involves collaboration with Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust to support CGHP’s mission.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Strong global health expertise.
2. Leadership experience.
3. Extensive networks in healthcare and academia.
4. Familiarity with the UK health system and charity governance.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role requires up to one day per month, with expenses covered.
