Working with one of the UK's leading building Services Companies. Job Details Carry out PPM, and Reactive Mechanical repairs and servicing. Equipment includes Commercial Steam Boilers, Installations, motors, pumps, ventilation plant and associated equipment. All works undertaken in accordance with the health and safety at works act, company safety procedures and contract specifications. Key Tasks PPM in adherence to set HVCA engineering standards. All in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification. Respond to Reactive works to include mainly mechanical & minor electrical & fabric issues as site requires Adhere to the out of hour’s call out Rota (as required). Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure Provide engineering condition reports Good customer interface skills Ensure statutory compliances requirements are fully met. Skills and Knowledge Reasonable understanding and a proactive approach to A/C: Understanding of the principals; basic fault finding; condensate pump changing and filter cleaning Good understanding and a proactive approach to Plumbing: General Pipe work; compression & solder fittings various valves; sanitary & waste systems including steam and the maintenance requirements. Good understanding and a proactive approach to Boilers: within legal constraints and following the manufacturers guidelines – to include knowledge of the electrical principals of boilers, plan, and associated equipment. Reasonable understanding and a proactive approach to Miscellaneous: meter reading; emergency light testing; water temperature recording; alarm testing and water treatment Essential: Minimum of one trade qualification of bias on: HVAC; Mechanical Preferable: Reasonable competence or a basic understanding of the other trades where certification permits Desirable: Minor building/fabric items; controls/hydraulics/pneumatics as requested when necessary Person Specification Competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification) Competence in steam systems (with valid certification) Delivery of service excellence IPAF PASMA If you do not hear from us within seven days, then your application has not been successful on this occasion.
