One year contract
We are a small cluster of three individual residential care homes providing the best support to six people who have a learning disability. They are aged between 24-57. Your role will be to support these fabulous individuals to achieve their goals, live as independently as possible, to maintain their family relationships and to explore new exciting opportunities.
Are you fit and active?
Could you keep up with a vibrant young man who loves to play football, trampoline and walk across fields all for hours at a time.
Could you be the person who greets him in the morning and supports him to prepare for his day whilst listening to his favourite music, which quite often is 90's.
This role requires you to support with full personal care, have a keen understanding of autism and sensory needs.
Could you be the person to help Sarah dress for her day? Sarah likes to look coordinated with attention to detail. Excellent nail painting and hair accessorising skills a must. She is autistic and requires patience, understanding and excellent communication skills from her staff.
Sarah can't walk far, so a driving licence is essential for her to experience a full range of activities outside of her home.
Matt will be moving to his new home very soon and would love a team of young at heart, enthusiastic support staff to be ready to support him. You will be joining an established team who support 4 other individuals.
What would you be doing?
As the Senior, you will develop rotas, complete supervisions and deputise for the Frontline Manager. You'll work closely with the staff team, encouraging and coaching them and identifying training needs, whether formal or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection.
You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
About you
You will need experience in social care, ideally supporting people who have a learning disability or autism. But just as important as experience, you'll have a positive attitude, share our values and be keen to grow and develop. We are looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
You must be a driver with a manual licence, in order to drive service vehicles.
