Our client is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver's Mate to join their team. This role will support the delivery drivers by assisting in the safe and efficient transportation of furniture to customers. As a Driver's Mate, you will play a key part in ensuring that deliveries are completed smoothly and professionally, representing the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
Job Specification:
*Assist the driver in loading and unloading sofas and other furniture items
*Safely handle and manoeuvre heavy items, ensuring proper manual handling techniques
*Provide excellent customer service upon delivery, ensuring a positive customer experience
*Ensure all items are delivered in good condition, with any issues reported promptly
*Work collaboratively with the driver to ensure efficient delivery routes and timings
Requirements:
*Physically fit and capable of manual handling
*Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment
*Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
*Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
Benefits:
*Competitive hourly rate of £13.57
*Monday to Friday daytime hours (9 AM to 6 PM)
