Close date Thursday 23rd Oct @ 12 noon Contact Conor O'Hagan for more details Job Purpose To manage all elements of materials management for the Group including the operation of the stores facilities, stock distribution and efficient management of materials for Engineering, Infrastructure and the other divisions in accordance with company governance policies and procedures. To manage the procurement of parts for Engineering and Infrastructure in conjunction with the Finance Dept. To lead and oversee the contract management of key supply contracts for Engineering and other specific contracts. The Role To manage all aspects of materials management for Engineering, Infrastructure and other Divisions and develop and maintain standard procedures to ensure efficient provision of materials in line with company governance policies and procedures. Manage all Materials, Contract and Stores staff across 4 main stores locations and over 30 satellite stores across Northern Ireland, to ensure the efficient delivery of spare parts and materials to the internal customer. Ensure high levels of staff performance and engagement. Responsible and fully accountable for the quality, effectiveness, safety and performance of parts and materials within their scope of control. Establish appropriate management processes to ensure the delivery of safe, available and reliable materials in accordance with the business requirements, laid down specifications and legislative requirements, ultimately focusing on the needs of the internal customer. In addition, ensuring all chemicals and substances held on stock have been subject to risk assessment and the requirements of COSHH. Manage the receipt of goods, the safe and secure storage of materials, the efficient distribution of stock, the controlled issue of stock items with appropriate levels of authorisation and manage/control the range and availability of items of stock held in stores. Oversee the contract management of all key supply contracts and manage the contract review process for all Engineering supply contracts Work with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the timeliness, reliability and suitability of supply of spare parts for Engineering and Infrastructure activities. Provide regular compliance and performance reports for all Translink stores and materials management processes. Develop processes for continuous improvement including the use of lean management tools, company balanced scorecard, quality initiatives, staff development and facility standardisation in order to improve safety, stores performance, staff engagement and cost efficiency. Maintain and develop quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 55001 throughout Lead the Materials and Contract Team and direct the people management/engagement of all stores staff building capability, competence and succession plans through staff development. The Person Essential Experience of managing materials in a large organisation across multiple sites. Qualified to Degree level in an Engineering or Business related discipline with at least 5 year's relevant experience. Experience of managing interfaces within an engineering/operational environment. Good understanding of Lean Management/Operations. Trade Union engagement. Contract/Financial management.
