Whilst balancing risk and commerciality to deliver the best results for our business and our colleagues. In your day-to-day role, as an Employee Relations and Change Specialist you will: Provide specialist ER expertise, guidance and advice to people managers and People Business Partners (where required) on a wide range of topics and complexity, in line with the Vanquis Way and drive subsequent actions. Coach people managers and hearing managers to reach their own conclusions and effective decision making. Provide strong, and carefully thought-out support across the business on case management focussing in each case on risks and potential outcomes to ensure all perspectives and avenues are fully considered. Effectively manage own ER caseload from end to end in a timely and consistent manner across a wider range of topics such as absence, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, whistleblowing, family friendly leave, wellbeing and performance Attend and thoroughly prepare for formal or informal meetings, where required and ensuring that appropriate stakeholders are briefed and supported. Work in partnership with the People Business Partners on key change projects including TUPE, collective consultation and redundancy, to provide expert employee relations advice and be a key sounding board to the business. Take a lead on Employment Tribunal management and preparation, including the first stages, ACAS conciliation What Were Looking For: Strong experience in employee relations or has undertaken a related specialist role Experience of managing end to end employee relations case management including very sensitive and highly complex cases. Experience of working in a fast paced, cost conscious and customer focused environment. Excellent technical HR/employment law knowledge and practical application Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a refreshingly straightforward way CIPD Qualified The interview process: 30-minute call with Talent Acquisition.
