About The Role As our Engineering Excellence & Continuous Improvement (C.I.) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in reducing downtime, optimising maintenance strategies, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). You’ll collaborate with the Asset Care & Excellence Manager, engineering teams, and production colleagues to implement world-class maintenance principles and lean methodologies. Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing reliability-focused maintenance strategies to maximise asset performance. Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) on repeat failures, delivering long-term solutions. Leading failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to assess risks and improve asset reliability. Driving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), ensuring operator-led maintenance is embedded. Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements through structured continuous improvement (CI) initiatives. Rolling out predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies, including vibration analysis and thermal imaging. Supporting the digitalisation of maintenance activities, including CMMS enhancements. Leading initiatives to reduce energy consumption and waste through asset efficiency improvements. Training and coaching teams on autonomous maintenance and problem-solving techniques. What We’re Looking For: Degree or time-served qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering. Proven experience in a reliability, CI, or maintenance engineering role within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) and root cause analysis (RCA). Experience with predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis). Expertise in lean engineering and CI techniques, driving measurable improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and coaching abilities, engaging teams in reliability initiatives. Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and operator-led maintenance programs. Knowledge of CMMS systems and digital maintenance tools.
