We are currently looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our team in North Wales. As an Industrial Electrician, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of Electrical systems and equipment. You will be working with other electricians, improvers, mates and technicians, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Duties and Responsibilities Installation and Maintenance: Install, commission, and test electrical equipment and systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays. Perform routine maintenance inspections, testing, and servicing of assets to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions in systems using testing equipment, schematics, and technical documentation. Carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments to rectify faults and restore equipment to operational condition in a timely and efficient manner. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines related to electrical operations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and electrical safety standards. Conduct risk assessments, implement control measures, and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct electrical tests and commissioning activities on installations and equipment to verify performance, insulation resistance, and compliance with specifications. Interpret test results, analyse data, and generate test reports documenting findings and recommendations for corrective action. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work activities, including job sheets, test reports, as-built drawings, and equipment histories. Complete and submit reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status to supervisors and management as required. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the electrical team, including supervisors, engineers, and technicians, to plan and execute work assignments safely and efficiently. Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed and contribute to a positive and productive work environment. Skills and Experience: · NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical installation or electrical engineering is required. - Inspection and testing. · HV Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification is highly desirable. · Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work, with a focus on high voltage systems and equipment. · Strong technical knowledge of electrical principles, equipment, and safety regulations, including earthing systems, insulation coordination, and protection schemes. · Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
