Fixed Term: from January 2025 to September 2025 Part time: Guaranteed Hours [160 Hours over contract duration] 2 positions available The Psychology department in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking to recruit two Research Assistants on an 8-month fixed term, Guaranteed Hours contract. The Opportunity: The post-holders will assist Principal Investigator Dr April Bailey on the British Academy funded project ‘Gendered Conceptions of Autonomous Consent: A Philosophical, Psychological and Linguistic Investigation Across Cultures’ which seeks to examine possible gender biases in conceptions of autonomy and applications of consent standards. The post-holders will assist with all aspects of the project from stimuli creation and validation, survey creation, obtaining Ethics Board approval, preregistration, data collection, data preprocessing, and data analysis. The RA will also assist with translating materials for Spanish-speaking participants. The role shall be based within Psychology Building (Central Campus). Opportunities for discussion on informal hybrid workplace arrangements can be discussed at the time of offer, however please note that some on campus working is required. Your skills and attributes for success: Undergraduate or MSc degree in psychology or another discipline relevant for the project or equivalent qualifications and experience. Fluent command of Spanish language. Prior experience conducting or assisting with quantitative research. Enthusiasm and a positive approach to the work and interest and ability to learn new skills. The ability to independently plan, prioritise and organise daily work and allocation of time within the timescale for the project. £33,882 to £39,105 per annum, pro rata. Grade UE06
