We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced pharmacy technician to join our friendly and enthusiastic pharmacy team managing the dispensary.
This is an ideal post for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated technician with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
As the Dispensary Manager you will be working closely with the Principal Oncology Pharmacist's other senior staff to lead and develop dispensary services at Maidstone Hospital. You will be a role model and lead the team by example. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating activities within our technician-led dispensary, and effectively manage our team of technicians, accredited checking technicians, dispensing assistants and trainees.
As a Pharmacy team, we aim to provide the best possible service for all of our patients and hospital staff. You will be trained to use our dispensing system (WellSky). Other training will include Practice supervisor and leadership training.

You will be someone who understands the importance of the Pharmacy Technician role within Pharmacy, who is passionate about; Pharmacy, Healthcare, providing patient centre care and upholding the GPhC professional standards.
Our core working hours are 08:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the voluntary bank holiday services.
You will be a professionally qualified Pharmacy Technician holding either the BTEC or NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services; and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT).

Essential
1. BTEc in Pharmaceutical Science and/or NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3
2. Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

3. National/Regional accreditation in Accuracy Checking.
4. NVQ A1 workplace assessor award, PS or equivalent
5. National/regional accreditation in Medicines Management.
6. Member of APTUK
