The Logistic Policy and Plans team is responsible for the requirement setting, provision and assurance of the Armys Controlled Stocks and overseeing support solutions for all major new Combat, Combat Support and Combat Service Support platforms entering Service. A core element of the teams portfolio is the delivery of the Force Elements at Sustainability (FES) programme, which will be key in deploying and sustaining future Army structures. The role of the FES Programme Management Officer is to provide direct Programme and Project management support to the Programme Manager for the respective change programme. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description Within this role you will: Source and provide key logistics support and understanding in the effective planning and delivery of the Force Elements at Sustainability (FES) initiative. Manage and oversee the provision of required and workable programme processes, documentation and Information Management. Act as the primary agent for the running and administration of future FES coherence, liaison with the delivery teams and ensuring that they are correctly informed. Become a key contact and liaison point with relevant stakeholders and forums, providing expert FES input where required and acting as a conduit for feedback to the wider team and unit. Support the FES programme in the delivery of key outputs, helping ensure that the initiative remains in scope and within time/cost constraints. This will include the facilitation of internal financial management requirements and activities. Conduct in person liaison with delivery teams and allied stakeholders in Abbey wood, Bristol. Typically, one day a week. Act as the focal point for the maintenance of Land Environment Sustainability Planning Assumptions (LESPAs). Person specification Person specification: Have good communication skills, capable of delivering clear written and verbal briefings in order to minimise false assumptions from stakeholders. Be computer literate, principally in Microsoft Excel, and open to learning new applications. Have analytical skills to seek and analyse information and data to inform decisions based on best available evidence to identify efficacy and efficiency measures where appropriate. Be able to work with stakeholders from across HQ Field Army and affiliated organisations. The individual will be required to exercise sound judgement as they will regularly act on behalf of the wider Field Army Logistic Branch. Desirable criteria: P3M qualification Driving Licence (position requires one day a week in the Bristol Office) Candidates will be required to complete a P3M qualification once in post if this is not already held.
