The Role – Physics Lead Teacher • Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5. • Take a lead role in curriculum development, ensuring an engaging and challenging Physics programme. • Oversee the work of all teachers delivering the curriculum at KS3 – KS5. • Ensure high standards and support the schools vision and ethos • Mentor and support colleagues, sharing best practices to enhance teaching and learning. • Use innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students and improve attainment. • Monitor and assess student progress, implementing targeted interventions where necessary. • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular science activities and enrichment programmes. The Ideal Candidate – Physics Lead Teacher • UK QTS essential with ‘outstanding’ experience teaching Physics at GCSE and A-Level. • A proven track record of excellent student outcomes. • Passionate about Physics education and committed to fostering a love of learning in students. • Ability to ensure an inclusive learning environment, and tailor learning to meet individual needs and ensure all students reach their full potential. • Experience in leading or mentoring within a department (or a strong desire to develop leadership skills). • High expectations for student achievement and behaviour. • A collaborative and reflective Physics Teacher who is committed to professional development.
