Overview:A varied accounting role, supporting the Head of Accounting and Management Accountants with the monthly reporting process for several varied business units. This is a hands-on role, enabling the jobholder to get involved with many aspects of accounting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Head of Accounting and Management Accountants with the monthly reporting process for one or more business units.
2. Ensuring all reporting is value-adding, of a high quality, accurate, and produced to agreed timescales.
3. General ledger postings to SAP ensuring allocation to correct GL codes, cost centres and projects.
4. Ensuring income and costs are accounted for in the correct accounting period, including identifying prepayments and accruals.
5. Preparing reconciliations of general ledger and intercompany accounts, proactively identifying and resolving accounting issues, following up exceptions and ensuring accurate and up to date SAP ledgers.
6. Conducting expenditure analysis and control, including supporting Management Accountants with feedback to cost centre managers, as required.
7. Supporting cash and treasury reporting to Group.
