Field Maintenance Technician

Up to £45,000 + bonus scheme

The Role
As an Algar Air Field Maintenance Technician, you'll be proactive, with a committed and professional approach to your work. You'll work well as part of a small team, but you'll be equally happy, productive and motivated working on your own.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on-site across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire
Performing maintenance on air compressors and associated equipment (training provided)
Conducting preventative maintenance activities
Installing pipework & ducting
General on-site maintenance and problem-solving
Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations
Engaging with customers and providing expert technical support

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a highly motivated, hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical background and a passion for problem-solving. About you:
Experience in a similar role maintaining site equipment, plant, or machinery
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge (compressed air & pneumatics preferred)
Clean/low points UK driving licence
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge of electrical/PLC systems (desirable)
CSCS certification, forklift/scissor lift/booms licence (preferred)
