An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Durham County Council. This is a temporary Senior Social Worker role within the Children in Care Service.
In this role, you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate of up to £32 per hour umbrella, dependent on experience, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.
This is a non-case holding role for a social worker to support the service by completing assessments (Placement with Parent assessments and Child and Family assessments) and to support the service as a duty role in terms of responding to duty crisis and helping visit children who are in unregulated provisions and need an increased amount of visits.
The successful candidate will be based in Pity Me next to the Arnison Centre. The Council supports workers to work at home should they wish to; however, the successful candidate for this post will need to be prepared to visit children as and when needed, given the specialty of this role, so will need to be office-based each day.
For this position, you will need to hold a recognised social work qualification and be Social Care England registered. Furthermore, you will have at least two years post-qualifying experience in a statutory childcare setting to support your ability for this role.
If you are interested in this position or know someone who is, then please call Sophie Donkin at Eden Brown or email.
Eden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
