About the Role The Littlehampton Academy is looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated cover supervisors to join our already established cover team. This role can offer the ideal opportunity for recent graduates considering a move into teaching. Our cover supervisors are vital to the smooth running of the academy. When deployed to lessons, they are accountable for ensuring that students undertake the learning activity set by the subject teacher. When not required in the classroom, the work is varied, and may include supporting in the specialist unit for students with ASD (Scott Centre) or the behaviour unit (Compass Centre). Comprehensive training, including shadowing members of the team and full behaviour management training, will ensure you are able to make a meaningful contribution to the work of the academy. This permanent position is 35 hours per week, term time only including inset days, however we are open to offering flexible working patterns i.e part time. The initial rate of pay is the equivalent of £13.24 per hour, paid monthly over 12 months. The pay scale has five spinal points and increments are awarded in September until the top of the pay scale is reached.
