All About You
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
* Experience working as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, particularly with children and young people with SEND
* Strong understanding of communication difficulties related to developmental disorders
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with children, families, and educational staff
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Organisational skills to manage a varied caseload across multiple locations
* Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car for work, as the role involves travelling between different schools
* Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the needs of children, families, and schools
What Will You Be Doing?
* Delivering high-quality speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, predominantly within school settings
* Collaborating with families, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to support children with SEND
* Providing training and support to educational staff to implement communication-friendly practices in schools
* Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to improve communication skills for children with SEND
* Monitoring progress, adjusting therapy plans, and keeping thorough records
* Travelling between school locations to manage your caseload, with a car required for efficient travel
* Attending meetings, such as case reviews, and contributing to reports on the children’s progress
