At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won’t find anywhere else. We are looking for a Flexible Pipeline Engineer (M/F) who can join our multicultural team in Paris.
Job Description
The flexible pipe engineer is responsible for the design of the entire flexible system solution, design activities gathering both pipe cross-section definition as well as subsea pipeline ancillaries’ equipment. Design activities are framed by dedicated Oil & Gas international Codes and standards and internal TechnipFMC design rules. They must comply with planning and project constraint as well as the highest quality standard to ensure our customers satisfaction.
Main activities include:
1. Investigate and identify main and critical design parameters;
2. Classify required per dedicated design tool;
3. Write technical report linked to performed studies (design, analysis etc…);
4. Seek support from R&D department or challenge them for proposed design optimization;
5. Review efficiently design report and technical analysis from other team’s engineers or other disciplines engineers in which he will interface;
6. Prepare required documentation for flexible pipe and ancillaries equipment manufacturing;
7. Respond clearly to internal and external clients.
At mid-term, it will be required to demonstrate ability to lead and manage outsourced design teams and respect standards in terms of safety and quality during project execution. The Flexible Pipeline Engineer (M/F) would have the opportunity to evolve on different operational activities on Front-End Engineering, Tendering, Project and Customer Services. In the frame of those activities, he/she will have the opportunity to provide support onsite in manufacturing plants, fabrication yards or offshore on construction vessels.
You are meant for this job if:
1. Engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical or hydrodynamic engineering;
2. Fluent in French and English;
3. Familiar with the Office Pack and Excel (good notions of VBA or Python programming is a plus);
4. Autonomous and organized, demonstrating leadership and real decision-making abilities;
5. Ability to manage priorities, work as part of a team, and possess good communication skills (written and oral);
6. Continuously raise standards, innovative, solution-oriented, and help solve complex problems;
7. Willingness to make occasional trips abroad;
8. Open-minded, adaptable and able to work in a multicultural environment;
9. Committed and proactive, with a strong sense of collaboration;
10. Able to make decisions and learn from every situation.
