As a Facilities Advisor and experienced facilities management professional, you'll be responsible for the services and processes. This role is to ensure the most suitable and effective working environment for employees both in buildings and when they are working from home. You will cover a breadth of topics from the physical environment, Health, Environment, Security, Safety and Sustainability, managing DSE, writing and reviewing risk assessments.

Description: The key responsibilities for the Facilities Advisor role are:
1. Technical (including systems) and/or Professional Responsibilities:
1. Identify workstation issues and develop individual solutions for various client groups through the performing of DSE assessments, including:
1. Liaise with Occupational Health & People Support on certain cases as required and complete higher level and more completed assessments.
2. Complete installation of specialist ergonomic equipment ensuring user understanding of how to maintain the optimum workstation setup.
3. Update the DSE assessment online system with employees' notes.
4. Maintain relationships with specialist furniture and equipment providers.
5. Ensuring that all new and existing employees have completed their online DSE training and self-assessment.
6. Regularly review outstanding issues and keep employee records up to date.
7. Conduct DSE assessments (to include new joiners, home workers, New and Expectant Mothers and following churn), identifying issues and providing solutions for all levels of assessment.
8. Strive to have a proactive approach to DSE rather than a reactive one to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism.
9. Train and provide ongoing support to managers in meeting DSE responsibilities for their teams.
10. High level of understanding of human anatomy and physiology; Extensive product knowledge including assistive technology.
11. Oversee vendor relationships for DSE managed services, including but not limited to; holding regular vendor meetings and completing performance management as required.
12. Organize and deliver staff training including safe manual handling, HESS inductions, and evacuation chair use.
13. Complete and review annual risk assessments for multiple properties and tasks, making recommendations for improvements.
2. Budget Management / Financial Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing relevant facilities spend in line with budget.
2. Drive efficiencies across facilities spend both opex and capex.
3. Process orders and invoices.
3. HESS Responsibilities:
1. Review of ergonomic furniture requirements during churn and ensuring records are kept up to date.
2. Responsible for PEEP arrangements.
3. Provision of utility readings and monthly analysis of energy use.
4. Population of light and heat spreadsheets.
5. Review of waste management information monthly.
4. Other Responsibilities:
1. Out of hours responsibility for all CUI offices as part of a rota with the Facilities Manager.
2. Operational knowledge of building management systems (fire, BMS, lighting, CCTV, etc.).
3. Keeper of master keys and issue keys as required.
4. Review and update of master desk allocation records.
5. Assist the Facilities Manager in the procurement and maintenance of various services & equipment.
6. Coordinate deliveries of new furniture and the removal of old furniture.
7. Take ownership of meeting room queries.
8. Responsible for the allocation of project rooms.
