Job summary This is a locum appointment for 12 months to cover maternity leave anticipated to start from April 2025 at UHDB Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Based at Derbyshire Children's Hospital at the Royal Derby Hospital, although other services are provided across all the Trust sites including the Queens Hospital Burton site and peripheral clinics at Ilkeston, Lichfield and Tamworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatrician to join our flexible team and compliment the range of services provided. Main duties of the job The role on offer is for an 8 PA contract. It will include a 1:8 on-call commitment for general paediatrics and for providing an out-of-hours emergency service (non-resident Rota), on a shared basis with other Consultants within the Department for which an on-call availability supplement is payable. You will be responsible for the continuing care and treatment of patients in your charge and personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan.
