About the Team Computer Services are the backbone of support for ALL colleagues across NEXT underpinning both the business and NEXT Technology. They consist of the 1st line central support team's, Data Access, Service Management, alongside looking after our Centrally managed environments - the lot! They also look after some of the lesser known areas of NEXT Technology such as essential communications, managed print and reprographics The Technology Squad mainly looks after the ITOM aspects of ServiceNow from CMDB Management and Discovery to Event Management and Automation. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Control and manage the day to day running of the ServiceNow platform.
* Develop and manage any changes to the ServiceNow platform including liaising with 3rd party vendors to develop the software.
* Ability to scope, test and implement any ServiceNow related projects, including the necessary communication and creation of the supporting documentation.
* Prioritise workloads and be able to identify key areas that could be improved using automation/orchestration.
* Perform regression testing and applying fixes to the system for upgrades/patches.
* Work closely with the Service Delivery Team Leader to provide SME advice and recommendations.
CRITERIA
Essential
* Previous hands on experience of developing on the ServiceNow Platform
* Experience of development/implementation of ITOM
* Estimate and contribute to user and technical stories
* Proven capabilities in managing enterprise level platforms
* System integration experience using web services REST/SOAP
* Understanding of XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, JSON
* Working knowledge of Javascript specifically Glide APIs
* Ability to manage projects, testing and documentation
* Strong planning skills with the ability to prioritise own workload
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
* Experience using MS SQL and Powershell
Desirable
* One or more CIS certifications
* Certified System Administrator certification
* Good business awareness and experience of ServiceNow
