The successful candidate will share responsibility for running and ensuring best practice in our rheumatology service. This will include supervision and training of junior doctors, clinical nurse specialists, clinical pharmacists, and AHP Active contribution to the multidisciplinary team meetings (where relevant this can include for inflammatory arthritis, AxSpA, metabolic bone, radiology, histopathology plus local and regional CTD MDT meetings) Provision of long term care to an existing cohort of patients and management of new referrals. Contribute medical support to the multidisciplinary team and ensure training and safety standards are met. Set up regular audit and quality improvement cycles. Once established in the clinical role, aim to develop the departments engagement and participation with teaching across the medical undergraduate and graduate curriculum and support supervision and clinical oversight of AHP and nursing departmental teaching.
