Are you looking to utilise your skills in debt recovery in a forward-thinking and well managed Council? We’re looking for a Senior Revenues Officer (Recovery) to join our Corporate Debt Recovery team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll be based in Fareham and receive a salary of up to £34,751 As a Senior Revenues Officer, you will be one of the key members of the team assisting with the recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates. You will be required to interact with customers both face-to-face and over the phone to assist the Revenues team with all aspects of recovery. Conflict resolution skills are essential in this role and you should also possess excellent interpersonal skills to provide this support and impart knowledge to customers and colleagues. This role will keep you busy so time management skills and flexibility to deal with changing priorities are essential. About You The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a Revenues or Debt recovery environment, though this isn’t essential if you possess knowledge of the legislation and procedures relating to the recovery of debts. You will also have sound numerical and analytical skills. This is a customer facing role, so you must be confident in your communication and be sensitive when dealing with vulnerable, distressed, and difficult customers.
