Applications are invited from qualified and experienced Administration candidates to join our busy administration teams. We currently have vacancies for the following Band 2 Administration Assistants:
* Newcastle North-East Community Treatment Team, Molineux NHS Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 1SG. Full time (37.5hrs). Note: relocating to Benton House, 136 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1QE in mid 2025.
* Newcastle North-East Community Treatment Team, Molineux NHS Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 1SG. Part time (22.5hrs per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Note: relocating to Benton House, 136 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1QE in mid 2025.
* ADHD and Autism Team, Keegan Court, Grassbanks, Gateshead, NE10 8DX. Full time (37.5hrs).
* Children and Young People's Service (CYPS), Benton House, 136 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 1QE. Full time (37.5hrs).
These services are busy, and the successful post holders will support the multi-disciplinary clinical teams to provide a comprehensive, high-quality administrative service. The post holders must facilitate excellent customer service and be confident in dealing with service users face to face as well as on the telephone.
Main Duties of the Job
Candidates must have proven demonstrable experience in the last 12 months of the following:
* Experience in a customer/patient-focused environment (face to face and telephone).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Database inputting.
* Electronic filing systems.
* Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Office packages including email.
* Typing letters.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and contribute positively within a team.
* Well organized and structured.
* Ability to change tasks at short notice.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Flexibility in the role.
The post holder will demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate in all relevant training courses appropriate to the role.
You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria, you will not be shortlisted.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Good general level of education to O-Level/GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
* NVQ in Business Administration (or equivalent).
* NVQ Level 2 in Customer Care (or equivalent).
Skills and Knowledge
* Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Able to input data accurately and efficiently.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
* Demonstrates good customer care skills.
* Good working knowledge of office procedures.
* Good organizational and planning skills using own initiative.
* Knowledge of working in an NHS environment.
Experience
* Experience of working in an administration role.
* Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times.
* Able to prioritize and plan own workload.
* Experience of working in an NHS/healthcare setting.
* Experience using stock.
* Experience of working with paper-based and electronic filing systems.
