Job Purpose
You will drive and lead the analysis of data within the wastewater treatment business ensuring that strategic plans are robustly developed enabling the company to meet the challenges of changing regulation and environmental requirements while achieving customer promises and outcomes in AMP8 and beyond.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, communication and embedment of regulatory improvement projects and supporting information. You will also be responsible for:
* Supporting the technical home across Wastewater, including the analysis/evaluation of data.
* Providing technical support to enable benefits tracking and realisation for various improvement projects.
* Being a subject matter expert on relevant performance commitments and Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs), populating regulatory reporting tables and associated methodologies/performance and compliance statements in a timely manner as well as developing the appropriate audit trails on a 6, 9 month and full year basis.
* Supporting the preparations for national meetings.
* Supporting the Regulatory Improvement Manager with national research projects, working across functional areas including Wastewater, Asset Management and Bioresources to provide timely data and information to relevant stakeholders.
Technical Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you will hold either a Degree or equivalent experience in a numerate or technical discipline. You will have relevant experience and a good knowledge of wastewater and associated practices, techniques, strategies and the operation of wastewater treatment assets and business procedures. You will also have:
* Excellent analytical reasoning, project management skills, financial skills and communication skills.
* Computer literacy across Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and preferably familiar with GIS.
* Strong data and information handling to draw appropriate conclusions from relevant data.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and be comfortable dealing with people externally and from across the organisation including the ability to challenge data and reporting decisions where necessary.
* Good organisational skills to ensure that work is prioritised and managed through to completion.
* Good understanding of the interaction between rivers, networks, Wastewater Treatment Works and catchments.
