Warehouse Operative - Northwich
* £11.44 an hour for the first 12 weeks
* £14.74 an hour for AM shifts

Hours:
* 6am to 2pm
* 7:30pm to 3:30am
The role of Warehouse Operative:
* Picking using voice picking and MHE
* Using trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team to ensure quality and food-safe products are produced for the customer
* Working flexibly across multiple warehouses as required to deliver a variety of tasks to the highest standard - including unloading, checking, transporting, picking, loading, and replenishing stock, operating Materials Handling Equipment, including a Fork Lift Truck when required
* Working accurately and efficiently using a system-led pick or picking sheets
* Assessing equipment (e.g. trailers) before and after use/loading to ensure they are safe for use and in line with relevant policies and procedures
* Picking stock from or load onto pallets or cages in line with stacking guidance and make best use of space so that loads are secure and stable for transit
* Wrapping pallets securely and loading safely and use space appropriately to reduce damage in transit
* Handling stock carefully and follow company date code checking policies to avoid damage, minimise waste and ensure managers are aware of damaged or time-expired goods
* Informing managers when product availability is getting low so that they can arrange replenishment and maintain service to logistics sites and stores
* Working at all times in compliance with all relevant food and Health and Safety policies, including completing all relevant paperwork, to contribute to a clean and safe environment for all colleagues
* Reporting stock that is in the wrong place, dealing with damaged pallets or stock, reporting damage to racking or truck problems, and clearing up debris/spillages to ensure safe working practices at all times
* Working in a flexible and friendly way with colleagues and the management team, sharing knowledge and experience, speaking up where there are issues, and helping to remove barriers, so creating moments that matter for your colleagues and making the site a place everyone can enjoy working in
* Finding ways to contribute to the local community in a positive way

* Typically working on shift (days, lates, nights) in teams to ensure deliveries are made accurately and on time to Morrisons stores and sites
* Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times
* Ability to perform a variety of physical activities such as lifting, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and stretching throughout a shift
* Ability to maintain concentration and consistent high standards of accuracy throughout the shift where some tasks may be repetitive and/or there may be a need to take note of moving machinery or equipment
* Sites vary in temperature (ambient and chilled) and may be dusty and noisy
