Role:
We are seeking a skilled E-Commerce Manager to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the following:
* Developing and Executing E-commerce Strategy: Aligning the e-commerce strategy with overall business goals to enhance the online shopping experience and drive sales performance.
* Managing our Online Store: Ensuring that the layout, positioning, and offerings are aligned with customer behaviour and preferences in conjunction with digital agency partners.
* Knowledge of E-commerce Platforms: Familiarity with various e-commerce platforms and their functionalities including Big Commerce, WooCommerce, Headless deployment.
* Collaborating with IT and Marketing: Integrating technologies that improve the online customer experience and managing digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels alongside a marketing team.
* Analysing Market Trends: Adapting strategies to compete effectively with other brands in the industry.
* Monitoring Website Performance: Using data analytics tools to track and analyse website performance and customer engagement metrics along with partner agencies.
* Managing Digital Content and Inventory: Coordinating with product development and supply chain teams to manage product listings, descriptions, and inventory levels.
* Generating Reports: Creating reports on e-commerce activity and performance, discussing findings with senior management, and proposing new strategies to improve results.
* Ensuring Compliance: Making sure that online sales comply with legal regulations, including data protection laws.
The successful candidate should possess an excellent understanding of the areas above. The key responsibilities below should also be demonstrated along with the delivery of innovation in these technologies and input to projects or contributing to delivering projects related to them.
Key Responsibilities:
* Optimizing Website SEO: Ensuring that the site ranks high in relevant searches and attracts more visitors. Working with partners to achieve as well as own innovation.
* Digital Marketing and SEO: Understanding search engine algorithms, leveraging social media platforms, and executing email marketing campaigns alongside a marketing dept.
* Conversion Rate Optimization: Techniques to improve the percentage of visitors who complete desired actions on the website.
* Managing Budgets and Forecasting Sales: Handling budgets and forecasting sales targets for online sales channels.
* Staying Updated with E-commerce Technology: Keeping up with the latest developments in e-commerce technology and necessary skills to maintain competitiveness.
* Work with 3rd Party Vendors: Securing advantageous terms for web-based tools and services along with business strategy and internal partners Digital agencies, Subscription billing partners, FinTech payment partners, marketing tools (email, sms, etc.).
* Work with In-house Partners: Develop and maintain vision and communication.
* Own and Deliver Projects: In conjunction with a wider team encompassing marketing and Information Technology & PMO.
Qualifications:
* Degree Qualified.
* Relatable professional qualifications and/or experience in E-Commerce at a senior level.
