Job Description
This role is part of our UK and Ireland accounting team responsible for maintaining local compliance in each country. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities of the Sales entity for the EMEA region. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing both US GAAP accounting and the local statutory reporting (IFRS) impacts including local statutory accounts delivery, statutory audit support, and managing the relationship with multiple stakeholders across the globe.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing and presenting the quarterly management review of US GAAP activity; ensuring all close procedures are managed appropriately by the broader team.
Responsibility for statutory reporting including:
* Local statutory accounts delivery.
* VAT compliance.
* Ensuring compliance with Transfer Pricing Policy.
* Partnering with Tax to provide a forecast of company performance and prepare Tax provisions.
* Establish a global network to understand the business and revenue trends of the entity and provide insights to PnL forecasts for Tax and Treasury as needed.
* Responsible for the accounting of critical technical areas under IFRS, e.g. revenue recognition; staying abreast of IFRS and regulatory changes and planning ahead to ensure compliance.
* Managing the relationship with external auditors on the statutory accounts, managing expectations and managing the detailed audit process.
* Partnering with other business groups e.g. Treasury, Tax and operations finance to understand the business roadmap, any emerging new business and identify the technical accounting issues and provide accounting recommendations.
* Supporting broader initiatives and efficiency related projects as needed such as the SAP system transition for the entity.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS needed with a demonstrable ability to research accounting issues and translate into recommendations.
* Clear communication skills both written and verbal at all levels and especially with senior management.
* Ability to work both autonomously and lead global teams.
* Strong business partnering and influencing skills particularly in a multinational corporate environment.
* Demonstrable problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Skills:
* SAP system experience.
* Advanced Excel and comfortable with data manipulation.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
