Job Purpose: We are seeking an Administrator to join our Student Information Services team. The successful candidate will perform a key role in managing student data and administrative duties, ensuring a professional and customer-focused service to both internal and external customers and students. This role is crucial for maintaining data quality and effective data management across the student life cycle. Key Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of student data-related and administrative duties, including enrolments, exams administration, timetabling, and curriculum set-up. Use the college’s student data systems to input and maintain data accurately and timely. Ensure the effective management of the student data lifecycle, from enrolment to achievement. Provide high-quality customer service to stakeholders across all sites. Develop expertise in relevant areas of responsibility and resolve queries proactively. Support the training and development of peers to maintain a consistent level of service. Assist in the preparation of training materials and support curriculum staff. Report on course and student records to ensure accurate and complete information. Contribute to business transformation by simplifying processes and delivering automation where appropriate. Assist with internal and external audits and support group quality processes. Participate in project work as required. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and college policies. Suggest improvements to procedures and contribute to the department’s self-assessment report. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required. Professional Development: Participate in staff development activities and share good practice. Engage in regular performance reviews and appraisals. Essential Criteria: Level 2 or higher qualification in a relevant discipline (or willingness to work towards a relevant level 3 qualification). GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher. IT qualification at level 2 or higher. Recent and relevant experience in a student data-related role. Experience using IT tools efficiently and accurately, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Good organisational and time management skills.
