The Financial Accountant will support the financial control accounting team in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is looking to grow their career in finance within a dynamic FMCG environment.
What will you be doing?
* Collaborate on Financial Reporting : Support the senior financial accountant in delivering accurate month-end and year-end reports, helping shape the company's financial success.
* Manage Key Financial Processes : Perform and review reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of accounts and proactively resolving discrepancies with various departments.
* Oversee Asset Management : Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and collaborate on new additions and disposals, ensuring alignment with company policies.
* Contribute to Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cashflow, playing an integral role in financial planning.
* Support Audits & Compliance : Work closely with auditors, providing key documentation to ensure smooth internal and external audits, while helping prepare accurate statutory accounts.

Our Slough HQ is home to our Corporate & Commercial teams (e.g Sales, Marketing and Finance, among others). We're all together on one floor and it's a bright and vibrant, open plan space with lots of different seating and meeting room options that can accommodate any type of conversation from 121's, team meetings, private soundproof phone booths to a Boardroom setting. We encourage our colleagues to converge and collaborate 2-3 days per week (usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays).

Job requirements
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience of statutory accounts
* Prior experience of working in a large finance department
* JDE or similar ERP system experience
* Experience of UK tax compliance (not required, but would be beneficial)
