Job Title Assistant Contract Manager Location Lowestoft Salary from £40,000, up to 10% bonus and health cover Flexible Working Pattern Help us create a better future, quicker Belonging to the O&M Contracts Department, UK and reporting to the Lead Contract Manager, you will assist in tendering, negotiating and (in some cases) managing offshore Service contracts. This role will include working closely with teams from the Operations, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure contracts are procured and managed effectively. Working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world, the role requires the individual to liaise with stakeholders from multi-disciplinary teams in different locations in UK and Europe. What you’ll be doing Support the Site and Technical teams to clearly define their requirements and prepare the documentation for tenders; Identify and support potential suppliers to register with in the IBR procurement portal, iBuy ; Lead the delegated tendering processes to put in contracts for O&M services in iBuy ; Assist with the tendering and negotiation of contracts for contracts above the delegated purchases threshold; Be aware of, and guide the rest of the team, on the IBR procurement processes; Liaise with the OPEX team to raise POs in SAP, receipt and process invoices, provide budget forecasts for contracts under your management; Assist the team to vary contracts in terms of validity and budget according to the IBR processes. What you’ll bring Degree and professional qualification in relevant discipline – Engineering, Contract Management, Legal background, Project Management, Construction Management, or commercially orientated qualification. Strong ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding timeframes ; Strong command of English, both verbal and written; Experience in commercial and contractual aspects of engineering; Good understanding of Health and Safety Principles and the compliance of Site Operations ( understanding of how multiple contractors can work within a single work control framework); IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems. Experience with SAP and/or iBuy will be beneficial; Flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project site in the UK.
