Britain needs DebenhamsDebenhams needs you What you will be doing As a Compliance Officer at Debenhams, you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on regulatory matters, ensuring the business understands and meets its regulatory obligations, and managing regulatory risks effectively for a very new and exciting product of ours within the financial services industry. Provide advisory services, offering guidance on regulatory obligations. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, communicating changes effectively. Conduct compliance monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance. Support the development and implementation of compliance policies and standards. Assist in creating an effective Compliance Framework for the business. What value and experience you can bring Experience in FCA regulated firms, with a good understanding of the consumer credit and payment services sector, and their relevant regulations. Knowledge of relevant legislation (CCA 1974, FSMA 2000, PSRs 2017). Knowledge of relevant FCA rules (CONC, DISP, SYSC, SUP). Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, dynamic and demanding environment with changing priorities. Ability to plan and prioritise workloads whilst working to strict deadlines. Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders, whilst being able to challenge and influence stakeholders on their approach to compliance. Interview Process: If we like your application, you will meet with our Talent Acquisition Manager over a teams call. If successful from this meeting then you will be asked to meet with the head of compliance who will go through your experience further and what value you could bring to the team. If the head of compliance likes what they see, they will ask for you to come back and present a task you are able to work on in your own time.
